Celestion was established in 1924 in England, mainly producing loudspeakers. Through the years Celestion got involved in producing radio, television and hi-fi speakers. In 2006, they stopped manufacturing home theater systems and concentrated on producing speakers for guitar, bass, and professional audio drivers. The Celestion Seventy 80 is one of Celestion's top selling guitar speakers.
History
The Celestion guitar speakers evolved from the Celestion general purpose, 12-inch speakers that were produced around 1936. During the 50's, they evolved into the "Blue" speaker, which was used in guitar amplifiers such as the Vox AC30 and Marshall amplifiers. Since then, Celestion has developed a wide range of guitar speakers that have been noted to produce a wide range of sounds with great quality.
