Central Coast Radiology Schools

Several Central Coastschools and colleges offer accredited radiologic technologyprograms.

Radiologic technologists operate the radiologic equipment used to develop images inside the human body. Physicians review the images to diagnose medical conditions and injuries. Degree programs in radiologic technology and radiographic and imaging science prepare students for careers as radiologic technologists, and certification examinations are available with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.

Central California School

The Central California School educates and trains students in radiologic technology. The 131-quarter credit hour program takes two years to complete. The program requires students to attend classes on the weekends and experience clinical training during the week. The clinical experience takes place in local imaging centers, hospitals and doctors' offices.
