Surgical Tech Schools In Florida

Surgical techs pass instruments to surgeons during an operation.

Surgical technologists, also called surgical assistants or scrubs, assist surgeons and registered nurses in the operating room. They set up and sterilize surgical instruments, assemble operating room equipment, prepare patients for surgery, apply dressings and monitor patients' vital signs. Schools offer surgical tech students certificates or associate degrees. Although not required, surgical techs may choose to become certified from the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist.
