Scholarships For Women In Health Care

There are many scholarships available for women who are interested in a career in health care.

The health care sector is a rapidly growing field and many more women are beginning to enter health care professions other than nursing. If you're a woman who's interested in a career in health care, it's important to consider the full scope of scholarship options available to help fund your education.

American Medical Women's Association Scholarships

The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) sponsors several fellowship, scholarship and awards for outstanding women medical students. If you're a student member of the AMWA and are currently enrolled in medical school, you may apply for one of the $1,000 Medical Education Scholarships available. These awards are granted to students who demonstrate financial need and embody the spirit and philosophy of the AMWA. If you're a student member who is enrolled in an accredited pre-med program or medical school, you may also apply for the Anne C. Carter Global Health Fellowship. Student fellows receive education funding in exchange for a service commitment to AMWA's global health program and attendance at the organization's annual conference.
