Even those with demanding careers can find an option for continuing educaiton study.
The demanding continuing education requirements for licensure renewal can seem overwhelming. The good news is there are lots of study options for even the busiest MRI Technologist. Some of these options are: live classes and training programs, web courses, webinars and homestudy courses. Whatever type of study best suits your needs, it is important to choose a program that is approved by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB).
Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI)
Live classes allow the MRI Technologist to keep up with emerging technologies.
MTMI offers six different live seminars and training programs in breast imaging, covering conventional, digital, and emerging technologies, including stereotactic breast biopsies. MTMI also has live 3, 4 and 5-day training courses in Mammography for Technologists and Breast Ultrasound Imaging. Classes are held at their facility near Milwaukee, Wisconsin as well as in Las Vegas, Seattle, Washington D.C., Atlanta and San Jose. Also available are web courses that can be purchased in a variety of video "modules," such as Mammographic Positioning of Non-Routine Views, Digital Mammography, Mammography Processing Parameters and a Mock Registry Exam. Web courses are ARRT approved and each module earns one Class A credit. Live webinars are also offered, with titles such as Breast MRI For The Technologist and Breast Ultrasound Registry Review.
