Convert Images To Eps Using Coreldraw

Encapsulated PostScript files, or EPS files, contain layers of vector graphics. Using an EPS file you can edit 2D vector properties individually, manipulating lines and shapes within a variety of drawing programs, including CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop and Quark. By default, CorelDRAW saves vector image projects as CMX or CDR files, openable primarily in Corel's software. If you have an existing image that you want to convert to the EPS format for more widespread compatibility, your CorelDRAW software is capable of doing this.

Instructions

1. Start up your CorelDRAW program.

2. Click the "File" menu and select "Open." Browse your computer's files and open the image that you want to convert.

3. Click "File" again and select "Export." A new window opens up on your screen. The window closely resembles the "Save As" window, but it has additional file-formatting options.

4. Click the "File Name" box and type in a name for the image.

5. Click the "Save as type" drop-down box and select "EPS" from the list of options.

6. Click the "Export" button. Your image is now converted to EPS format for future editing in EPS-compatible programs.
