Write a newspaper column for fun, money, a career or for your creative side. There are many tips for writing a newspaper column, but the best piece of advice is write. No matter how many days you hit a wall, keep pressing yourself to write until the words come to you.

2. Summarize up front. The inverted pyramid is used in newspapers because the reader tends to stop reading before the article is done. Put the most important information in the beginning, and then leave the lesser information for the end.
