Donate To Parkinson'S

Parkinson's is a disease that affects the brain. In the United States, it is estimated that 60,000 new cases are diagnosed each year, joining the 1 million Americans who currently have Parkinson's disease, according to the National Parkinson Foundation. The National Parkinson Foundation is an organization that has been fighting the disease since 1957, and has several options available for people to donate to the cause.


Instructions


1. Go to http://www.parkinson.org/ and click on the "Donate Today" button at the top of the page.


2. Make a decision regarding the nature of your donation to the National Parkinson Foundation. This charity has options other than just making a general monetary donation. The National Parkinson Foundation offers giving a donation in a friend or family member' name for a special occasion or in memory.


3. Consider other ways to donate to the National Parkinson Foundation. Give to this organization by applying and planning a fundraiser in your community, or by donating your estate or securities.


4. Click the link on the donate page that coincides with the type of donation you have decided to give to the National Parkinson Foundation, and execute your donation. For general gifts you can donate a minimum of $25 or choose the maximum. Choose whether you would like to donate anonymously and if the donation a one-time only or will reoccur each week, month, quarter or year.


5. Enter in your billing information and keep the receipt for your tax records. The National Parkinson Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non- profit and all donations are tax deductible.
