Hot Pink & Lime Green Wedding Ideas

Use hot pink flowers in your bouqet.

Choosing a color scheme for your wedding is an important part of the preparation process as these hues help to set the tone for the entire affair. Once you've selected your palette, decide how you are going to incorporate it into the different aspects of the event. Choosing a combination of hot pink and lime green can create a fun and fresh vibe for your wedding.

Decorations

Use touches of hot pink and lime green throughout the decor of your wedding -- in both the ceremony and the reception. Drape satin ribbons in these colors along the ends of the pews or chairs that line the aisle. Choose a fabric in one of these colors and use it as an aisle runner. Tie ribbons in one or both of these hues around the back of dining chairs. Cover lime green tablecloths with hot pink organza. Add interest to the reception area by suspending pink and green balloons or paper lanterns from the ceiling.

Flowers

From bouquets to centerpieces -- flowers are often a large element in a wedding, and it is easy to use them as a means of bringing this color scheme into the affair, as there are several blooms that come in these colors. For bouquets, wrap lime green ribbon around the stems of a tight clutch of hot pink roses. For centerpieces, float the blooms of hot pink Gerber daises and lime green tea lights in glass bowls fill with water. Another idea for the centerpieces is to fill the bases of tall glass vases with limes and hot pink Asiatic lilies.

Apparel and Accessories

This color palette can even be incorporated into your apparel, as well as your attendants' apparel. Ask half of your bridesmaids to wear satin hot pink cocktail dresses and the other half to wear the same dress, but in lime green. If you're having an outdoor wedding, instead of carrying bouquets of flowers, have the bridesmaids carry parasols in these colors. Have groomsmen wear ties and vests in these colors. The groom can wear a white vest accented by a lime green tie. Give your wedding dress some pizazz by tying a ribbon in one of your chosen colors around your waist. You could also wear shoes in one of these shades.
