Delgado Community College is a public community college with multiple campus locations in the largest city in Louisiana, New Orleans. The Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) program at Delgado is a fully-accredited certificate program. Graduates of this program will qualify to take the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography examination in Obstetrics-Gynecology, Abdomen and Ultrasound Physics. Curriculum includes ultrasound patient care, directed reading, physics and instrumentation, abdominal ultrasound and OB/GYN ultrasound. It takes 16 months of full-time study to complete this program. To be admitted, students must be a graduate of a two-year accredited allied health occupation program or have at least 60 credit hours of post-secondary education and complete the pre-requisite courses.

Unitech Training Academy


Unitech Training Academy (UTA) is a technical/trade school with multiple campus locations in Louisiana. Campus locations include Lake Charles, Lafayette, Alexandria, Houma and West Monroe.
