Renting a booth at a local fair is a great way to gain some exposure for your growing business, or as a launching off point for a new idea or craft. There are a few rules you need to know before renting a booth at a fair, though, so find out exactly secure your spot and get your booth up and running.
Instructions
1. Find out the particulars for the fair. There's usually a deadline when all booth applications and rent payments have to be in, and it's often several months before the event. Call or check out the fair website to find out the details and make sure to get your information to the correct person on time.
2. Plan for the fair well in advance. Prepare by creating a list of all the things you need to have done before the fair, and then doing it a little bit at a time. You may need samples or things to sell, along with business cards, table cloths and signage.
3. Show up at the fair several hours before it's open to the public to get your booth set up and ready to go. You should expect to stay late after the fair is closed as well, so make the appropriate arrangements.
