Canadian veterinary technology schools allow students to interact with both large and small animals.
Canadian veterinary technology and animal health technology programs average two years in length and prepare graduates to take the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE), administered by each Canadian province. These programs give students a broad range of knowledge in conjunction with hands-on learning experience, enabling graduates to assist both large and small animal veterinary practices. These programs require full-time class lecture and laboratory instruction or distance learning coupled with on-campus attendance.
