Reports show that a large number of women experience some type of breast pain. While most breast pain is not associated with breast cancer, about 15 percent of complaints do require medical treatment.
Wearing Supportive Undergarments
Moderate breast pain might be caused by a bra that does not provide good support. A bra should properly support a breast during all activities, and can also be worn as an aid while sleeping. Any undergarment specialty store will have staff on hand to assist you in selecting the right size garment.
Controlling Diet
Eliminate caffeine and salt from your diet and eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. Vitamin supplements B6, B1 and E have shown positive effects in reducing breast pain. Instead of drinking soda, coffee and tea, drink water and natural fruit juices throughout the day.
Balancing Weight/Stress
Proper weight is a key to good health. Eliminating stress and excess weight will stabilize hormone levels and aid in eliminating breast pain. Fit an exercise routine into your day, even if it is something as simple as a 10-minute walk each morning.
