Los Angeles City College offers a radiology technology program fully accredited by the State of California's Department of Health Services as well as Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. Students entering the radiology technology program at Los Angeles City College must pass a variety of prerequisites before being admitted, and acceptance into the program is competitive. The program trains students in a variety of aspects of radiology technology including radiation protection, radiological mathematics and radiographic anatomy. Students who complete the curriculum, including the clinical education requirements, earn an associate degree in radiologic technology, and are eligible to take the certification examinations.

Yuba Community College District
The radiologic technology program at Yuba Community College District requires students to specifically apply to the program after completing prerequisites. Students in the program concurrently complete clinical internships and classroom training. Students who finish the program earn an associate degree in radiologic technology, a professional certificate and eligibility to take the state examination for radiologic technicians. In addition to teaching radiological technology skills, the program also hopes to instill graduates with heightened professional communication skills and an interest in lifelong education in the trade.

Cabrillo College
Cabrillo College hosts a radiologic technology program at its Aptos campus. The program trains students in positioning, patient care, film quality assessment, X-ray equipment operation and social communication for the radiologic profession. Students earn experience over the course of 22 months inside the classroom as well as at area hospitals. Graduates of the Carbillo College program earn eligibility for the State Certificate in Diagnostic Radiology, as well as the fluoroscopy state permit exam, in addition to earning an associate degree.

Pasadena City College
Pasedena City College offers a two-year associate degree program in radiologic technology. Students seeking admission to the program must have a 2.0 grade point average from high school and a 2.0 grade point average in all post-secondary coursework taken. In addition, the program requires students to take prerequisite classes in math, physics, physiology, anatomy and medical terminology. Prerequisites must be completely finished and classes in progress will not be accepted. Students receive completion certificates for all classes passed with a "C" grade or better. Graduates from the program are qualified to sit for all relevant state board examinations.
