Radiographers perform medical diagnostic imaging examinations on patients.
Radiographers are trained professionals who use X-rays, or ionizing radiation, to create diagnostic medical images of organ systems and body parts. These professionals may also be referred to as radiologic technicians. Schools that offer radiographer programs help students prepare for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists licensure examination.
Mayo School of Health Sciences
Mayo School of Health Sciences offers a radiography program in cooperation with Florida State College. Students can complete this program in 24 months on a full-time schedule. Upon completion of this program, students earn an Associate of Applied Science from Florida State College and a certificate of completion from Mayo School of Health Sciences. The school admits up to 10 students to the program each year and the curriculum consists of courses such as upper extremity radiography, chest and abdominal radiography, radiation physics and quality control/radiobiology.

Bucks County Community College
Bucks County Community College has a radiography program that begins in May each year and continues through 24 months on a full-time schedule. Required courses include introduction to radiography, radiographic positioning, ethics and medical law/human diversity, advanced imaging, medical terminology, contrast media procedures and radiation biology and protection.

Burlington County College
Burlington County College offers a radiography program designed to take six semesters over the course of 24 months. The program begins in the summer semester of each year and admits 14 first-year students. Clinical education begins in the first semester at the rate of one day per week and progressively increases to three days per week by the third semester. Courses include fundamentals of anatomy and biology, principles of radiation protection and equipment operation and maintenance.

Kellogg Community College
Kellogg Community College offers a radiography program that students can complete in two years with the inclusion of two summer semesters on a full-time schedule. Students who complete this program earn an Associate of Applied Science. Required courses in this program include introduction to radiologic science and health care; radiologic positioning, procedures and pathology; and principles of radiologic imaging.
