Tips For Beauty At Age 50

Keep a shorter hairstyle to frame your face.

Women at every decade should change their beauty routine to keep up with their changing and aging body. Women at 50 should alter their makeup for a youthful dewy finish with lighter colored eyes and lips. To frame this fresh face, cut your hair short and layer the hair for a feminine look. Be fabulous at 50 with these quick beauty tips. Does this Spark an idea?

Hairstyle

Hair becomes thinner with age especially if the 50 year old woman has been color treating the hair to cover gray. Keep a short hairstyle for fuller looking hair. It is also less maintenance. A shorter hairstyle that frames the face and is textured for a feminine look can be attractive and flattering for a variety of face shapes and ages.

Foundation

Choose a foundation with a dew-like finish and that moisturizes the skin. This will camouflage any wrinkles that 50 year women start to see around the mouth, eyes and on the forehead. The dewy finish will give a youthful appearance and moisturize at the same time. Start with a conservative amount to avoid a cakey finish, you can always add more but it is difficult to adjust the amount of foundation when it is already on.

Eyes

Older women should wear light shimmery colors on the eyes. Avoid thick eyeliners and darker shades. The goal is to keep the eyes bright and open up the eye corners. Use frosty light colored eye pencils to open up the eyes. Finish off this fresh look with a light coat of mascara on the top eye lashes.

Lips

Some women 50 and over find that fine lines form around the mouth and lips start to shrink and lose their suppleness. Avoid matte lipsticks and dark colors. Matte lipsticks emphasize lines. Instead use a gloss or high shine lipstick. Apply a neutral lip liner to give the appearance of fuller lips. Use shades of pink to brighten the complexion and open up your smile.
