Troubleshoot The Panasonic Tau

Troubleshooting your Panasonic Tau can fix mostly any issue with the television.

With any large electronic device, there are bound to be a few errors or mistakes over time. The Panasonic Tau television is no exception. Eventually, the screen may start acting different or the sound may be muffled. Thanks to Panasonic's owner's guide, there are simple solutions to most of these errors.

Instructions

1. Plug the power cord on and replace the batteries in the remote control. This is the most common solution to complaints of the television not turning on or the remote not working.

2. Adjust the antenna. A lot of times, if the television has a fuzzy screen or has picture problems, the problem lies with the antenna receiving poor reception. This does not apply if the television is hooked up to a cable box. Another solution to issues with the picture or clarity of the screen is to adjust the "Contrast," "Brightness" or "Tint" of the screen by going to the "Picture" options on the "Menu" screen and selecting what you wish to adjust. Use the Volume buttons to raise or lower your selected option.

3. Enable "Geomagnetic Correct" if the image is still skewed by selecting "Geomagnetic" from the "Options" menu. If this does not work, move the television to a different location, turn it off, wait 20 minutes and turn it back on. If this does not fix the problem, magnetic shielding may need to be purchased for the television.

4. Remove other electronic devices that are close to the television if there is a loud buzzing or humming coming from the television's speakers. Other electronic devices can interfere with the reception of the television resulting in distorted sound.
