There are online radiology programs leading to certificates, associate's and bachelor's degrees, but an associate's degree is the most prevalent among radiologic technicians. The demand for radiologists is expected to grow faster than average, so the number of schools offering radiology programs is likely to increase.


Florida Hospital College of Health Science


This regionally accredited bachelor of science in radiologic sciences online program can be completed in 18 to 24 months, and all coursework can be done online. The cost of the program as of February 2010 is $8,880 per year.


Pima Medical Institute


Pima Medical Institute offers an advanced placement track radiography associate's degree online. The program is meant for students with prior knowledge or coursework in radiology. To be eligible you must: have completed a U.S. military, foreign or JRCERT (Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology) accredited program in radiography, possess clinical radiography experience, have a valid CPR certification and complete a limited scope radiology program.
