BadgerCare Plus
has a Basic and Core plan to meet the needs of eligible individuals and families.
BadgerCare Plus is Wisconsin's state-subsidized health insurance program, affiliated with multiple health maintenance organizations (HMOs). The goals of the BadgerCare Plus program are to provide every child in Wisconsin access to affordable health insurance and to expand health insurance coverage to ensure a high percentage of Wisconsin residents have access to quality, affordable health care. Eligibility for coverage must be renewed annually based on gross income, family size and other specific circumstances, such as caregiving expenses and disability status. You can renew your BadgerCare Plus benefits online, by mail or phone. If you are enrolled in more than one state-funded program, you may be able to renew all programs at the same time online at ACCESS.wi.gov.
