Also, a CT scan technician should be in good health, because there are risks associated with the radiation emitted by CT scanners. Injuries or death can result, if safety protocols are not followed.
Education
Education for a CT scan technician can be completed during a two- or four-year program, depending on the school you attend. After completing the program, a certification exam must be taken and many states also require an additional license. CT scan technicians are also often expected to continue taking educational courses to maintain their licensing and certification.
