Online Xray Tech Training

Radiographers take X-rays of the human body that help doctors diagnose problems.

X-ray technicians are also known as radiologic technicians or radiographers. They take X-rays of the human body which doctors use to diagnose medical problems. Most X-ray technicians earn an associate's degree, but a certificate or bachelor's degree are also options. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) offers voluntary certification for X-ray technicians.

Pima

Pima Medical Institute offers an online radiography program for those with previous education in the area. In addition to classroom work, students participate in an externship to receive hands-on experience in a clinic. Graduates earn an associate of occupational science degree.

MU Direct

The University of Missouri offers a bachelor's degree completion program in radiography for students who have an accredited certificate or associate's degree in that subject. The program is completely online and graduates receive a bachelor of health science in the radiologic sciences.

Online Tutorial

Online courses leading to a degree require students to already be working in the field and are designed for those who want to further their career. It's not possible to find entry-level work as an X-ray technician by taking an online course. However, the University of Virginia Medical School has posted an "Introduction to Radiology" interactive tutorial on their website covering a wide range of subjects and includes tests to check your knowledge.
