Prevent Breast Calcification

Breast calcifications are calcium deposits which can be detected on a mammogram. Breast calcifications can be either macrocalcifications or microcalcifications. Those that are macrocalcifications are usually not linked to cancer as they are associated with old tissue injuries or aging of the breast arteries. On the other hand, microcalcifications are more often associated with breast cancer as they are left as residue from rapidly dividing cells. Therefore, it is important that women take the proper steps in identifying these calcifications early. Although it seems that breast calcification cannot be prevented with vitamin D as other calcifications can, it is important to maintain breast health through diet and exercise.

Instructions

1. Perform regular breast self-examinations and if necessary have mammograms scheduled on a regular basis to aid in early detection.

2. Exercise regularly, focusing on cardiovascular fitness by walking, jogging or running. Make an effort to get in at least three 30-minute exercise sessions during the week.

3. Drink nettle juice and red clover infusions on a daily basis. These herbs are said to prevent and even dissolve the calcifications.

4. Focusing on lentils, whole grains, and fruits as the mainstays of your diet. Have lentil-based meals at least three times a week to ward off breast calcification.

5. Consult an accupuncturist and/or massage therapist as they may have a specific "pre-cancer" regimen that has proven effective in the past.
