What Is The Average Salary Of A Dialysis Patientcare Tech

Dialysis patient care techs prepare both equipment and patients for dialysis, under the supervision of a patient care manager. They then initiate, monitor and terminate treatment. They must be friendly and sensitive to deal with chronically ill patients.


Basics


The PayScale Report states that as of September, 2010, dialysis techs earn a base salary of $11.96 to $15.33 per hour, with $16.14 to $22.68 for overtime. Adding annual bonuses and profit sharing produces annual salaries from $25,431 to $34,205.


Experience


The greater the experience, the higher the salary, with those working for one to four years earning $15,600 to $31,000. Those with five to nine years earn $24,566 to $39,067, while those with 10 to 19 years' experience earn $26,250 to $43,500.


Employer


Salary can vary by type of employer with hospitals paying $23,583 to $40,695 annually and private companies paying $18,240 to $35,437 per year.
