Sponsored by Hemodialysis, Inc. (Hi), the American Dialysis College offers a practicum-based hemodialysis training program. This California-based institution focuses on education and training in the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) industry. It provides students with theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in the field to prepare them for professional medical work as certified dialysis technicians. Accredited by the Bureau for Private Post-Secondary and Vocational Education, the school requires 122 hours of lectures and 282 hours of practical training to complete the course.

Baker College


Baker College has certificate courses and associate and bachelor’s degrees for many health science and medical technology courses. It offers a two-year focused associate degree in surgical technology. Its coursework includes cardiac catheterization, pathophysiology and human anatomy. This program is duly accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the Accreditation Review Council on Education in Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Baker College's other focused medical instrument technology courses include: diagnostic medical sonography, echocardiography technology, orthotic/prosthetic technology, radiologic technology, and vascular ultrasound technology.

Sanford-Brown


Sanford-Brown offers courses in medical instrument technology through its various campuses all over the United States including those in Georgia, New York, Michigan, Texas, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Arizona, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. The school offers allied health diagnostic programs, such as cardiovascular sonography/technology, magnetic resonance imaging, radiography and diagnostic medical sonography. Sanford-Brown provides associate and diploma programs where students learn the theoretical, clinical and diagnostic aspects of medical technology. Students also benefit from a number of on-campus lectures and imaging lab work and off-campus clinical hands-on training.
