Get Breathing Mask Marks Off Your Nose

People wear breathing masks for a variety of reasons. Examples include those with respiratory problems, sporting enthusiasts such as scuba divers, and those in high-risk environments. Having the mask on tight helps ensure the proper administration of oxygen and fresh air, but a tight mask can leave unattractive marks on your face and nose. Home remedies can get rid of those marks. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Remove the mask and wait. The marks will naturally decrease once the pressure is gone. This might take up to an hour, or it might take several hours for older people with reduced elasticity in their skin.

2. Use your fingers to rub the marks left by the breathing mask. Use gentle, circular motions and push firmly against the facial skin. This increases blood flow to the area and stretches the creased skin, helping it return to normal.

3. Rehydrate the nasal skin region to boost the skin's natural volume and reduce marks and depressions. Splash your face with cool water. Pat dry with a towel and moisturize with a facial moisturizer such as Olay Regenerist Night Cream and Neutrogena Healthy Skin.

4. Plump up the area with a skin plumper, such as Elizabeth Arden's Plump Perfect Firming Facial Mask or Perricone's Face Finishing Moisturizer. Or try a facial moisturizer containing collagen, such as St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer.

5. If you need immediate relief and don't have time for any of the above steps, disguise the marks. Dab your favorite concealer and foundation products on the nasal area where you have the marks. For best results, use a powder-based product rather than a liquid concealer or foundation, which can settle in the marks and accentuate their appearance.
