Medical Laboratory Technologist Colleges

Medical laboratory assistants work in hospitals, diagnostic laboratories or in private physicians’ offices.

Medical laboratory technology programs are a mainstay in allied health academic catalogs at two-year community colleges and technical schools with associate degree and certificate programs generally taking less than two years to complete. Curricula include rigorous clinical coursework in addition to classroom study. With a number of courses in common with phlebotomy programs, medical laboratory technology graduates have also chosen to pursue entry-level employment as phlebotomists.
