Lump

A lump on the breast tissue is a physical sign of breast cancer. The lump may be discovered through a mammogram or by a self-check. Another area where a lump may form is under the armpit. This is because the lymph nodes are fighting the invasion of the cancer.

Discharge

It may be normal for a woman between the ages of 40 to 60 to experience leakage from the nipples. This is due in part to the hormone changes that the woman is experiencing. If fluid leaks from one nipple or the discharge is bloody, it may be a sign of breast cancer.

Color, Texture Change

Another sign of breast cancer is a change in color or texture of the skin surrounding the nipple. The skin may be developing a rash. If the rash doesn't go away after being treated with cream, it could be a sign of breast cancer.

Change in Breast Size

A sign of breast cancer is the change in size or shape of the breasts. This is caused by swelling of the milk ducts. If these changes are persistent or very noticeable, consult a doctor immediately.

Warning

If you suspect that you have breast cancer or you are experiencing any of these symptoms, seek medical advice immediately. Early recognition is essential in the effective treatment of breast cancer.
