Maximize A Load Of A Laundry

Laundry is a daunting task for many people and most can think of a better way to spend a Saturday night. While there are some people who actually enjoy doing a load of laundry, the majority of individuals crave ways to maximize their time. Maximizing a load of laundry not only saves time, it also saves money. Whether you are in your home utility room, or in the local laundromat, maximizing loads simply makes sense. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

1. Sort dirty laundry into two piles: delicates and colors. Having a limited amount of piles keeps loads from becoming too small. The delicate pile should include bras, panties, boxers, briefs, and any other type of fabric that says, "wash gentle." The color pile will include everything else.

2. Throw the colored laundry into the washing machine. Load the machine up to the brim. Even though it may seem over capacity, washing machines are made to withstand overloads.

3. Select a cold water wash and a cold water rinse cycle. Since whites, lights, and darks are washed in the same laundry load, you should always use cold water. It cleans clothes adequately and allows you to wash unlike colors together.

4. Add the laundry detergent while the water runs into the machine. This will help more evenly distribute the soap in a crowded washing machine.

5. Wait until you have a full load of delicates and repeat the process starting at Step 2. It may take a few days to get enough delicate laundry to warrant a load. Be patient. This time use the delicate wash cycle.
