Make Fliers for Breast Cancer Awareness
An organization dedicated to raising awareness of breast cancer can use a flier to impart direct information to the public in a short amount of time. The most effective fliers catch the reader's eye quickly, provide quick facts and list any necessary information for action. Creating a flier to spread the word about breast-cancer awareness can be a simple, inexpensive way to share this important information.
Instructions
1. Check your computer for a program like Microsoft Publisher, Print Shop and Scribus that will allow you to create a flier. Programs like these make it easy to insert pictures and adjust the document format to develop a flier that is tailored to your needs.
2. Research breast cancer and decide which facts that you would like to list on the flier. Obtain information about breast-cancer prevalence, prevention and treatment. Then ascertain the role of your organization and research any upcoming event(s) it may have scheduled to help find a cure or assist those who are sick.
3. Open the program on your computer and begin creating the layout for your flier. Use graphics or logos to make the flier more appealing to the eye.
4. List your facts and other information in an organized format on the page. Consider using bullets and bolding important words. Leave space between each bullet to make the flier more reader-friendly.
5. Add contact information for the reader to gather more information on the subject of breast cancer or help in finding a cure. If you represent a specific organization, put your contact details here.
6. Decide if you will print color or black-and-white copies. Color copies are usually more attractive, but can be expensive. Use colored paper if you are printing in black and white. Pink is the color most closely associated with breast-cancer awareness.
7. Print or copy only the amount of fliers you will need. You can always print more, rather than wasting resources by running off more than you can use.
