Protect your children from unsuitable programming with the Polaroid TV channel lock.
Historically a brand name associated with instant photography, Polaroid now makes a range of flat-screen televisions, digital photography products and other household electronics. The company's flat-screen TVs feature a parental lock that enables parents to restrict which channels are viewable by young children or minors. The TV requires the four-digit combination before it shows restricted channels. Unlocking the channel protection involves making adjustments within the TV menu using the remote control.
Instructions
1. Press Menu on the TV remote control. A list of options appears.
2. Select the wrench icon at the top of the screen by tapping the Vol + button.
3. Highlight Parental Control Settings by tapping the Ch - button. Press Vol +.
4. Enter the parental control PIN code using the numbered buttons. The default code is 1234.
5. Select Global Setting using the Ch + and Ch - buttons. Press Vol + until Disable appears.
6. Press Menu until the TV picture returns and the menu closes. The parental lock is switched off and the channels unlocked. Repeating the above steps and selecting Enable in Step Five restores the lock.
