Remove Burned Food From Ceramic Cookware

Ceramic cookware has a lot of advantages and can usually last for many years. It's also pretty forgiving when it comes to removing burned-on food. If you're looking for solutions to this sticky problem, there are several ways to remove that baked-on gunk and grime, while protecting the integrity of your cookware.

Instructions

1. Fill the pot with water, add a few tablespoons of salt and allow it to sit overnight. If the food is still stuck on, try boiling the salt-water mixture for a few minutes. This should loosen up even the toughest food stains.

2. Drop in some baking soda and vinegar. Mix the two together with a little bit of water and let the entire mixture sit. Then clean the dish as usual.

3. Spray on some oven cleaner. Since your ceramic cookware is similar to your oven, spray-on oven cleaner often works just as well on it. Allow it to sit for a bit and then scrub and rinse as usual.

4. Add some powdered dishwasher detergent. Cover the bottom of the cookware with the powder, and then cover the whole thing with a warm, wet towel for a few hours. This should help remove any baked-on food.

5. Use the dryer sheet trick. Put a new or used dryer sheet in the bottom of the pan, and cover it with a thin layer of warm water. Let the dish sit for about 30 minutes, and watch the burned-on food just slide away.
